I’d recommend checking out community centers or local schools; they often host events where interpreters are needed — i found my first gig at a school talent show, and from there, it really took off… Have you considered reaching out to any nearby schools for upcoming events?
Have you thought about volunteering at local non-profits — i found some great gigs that way, especially when they host community events. It’s a good way to make connections and get your foot in the door.
