I ditched the ring and use two Aputure MC pocket LEDs with the silicone diffusers — set to “4000K” — one at 45° as key and a low fill opposite, both slightly above eye line to dodge glasses glare. They magnet to the car frame or pop on mini tripods and are up in under 2 minutes; think headlights, but kinder.
