The importance of clear medical terms

I’ve found that using plain language can truly make a difference in patient understanding. Recently, I interpreted for a patient discussing a complex diagnosis, and when we simplified the medical terminology, their anxiety visibly lessened. I think it really highlights the need for clearer communication in healthcare.

I totally agree that simplifying language really helps! I remember translating for a patient recently where breaking down medical jargon made them visibly less anxious. It’s crucial to keep an open dialogue — just asking questions can often reveal what’s truly needed for understanding.
