I wanted to share that there’s an upcoming workshop focused on medical terminology in ASL next month at the community center on April 15th. It’s a great opportunity for interpreters to deepen their understanding of specific medical jargon and improve patient communication. If you’re interested, I think it could really enhance our skills in the field.
That sounds fantastic! I once learned a few medical signs during an emergency room visit, and it really helped bridge the gap with a patient… It’s amazing how just a few signs can make a huge difference — do you think we’ll cover emergency terms in the workshop?
