What gets callbacks in ASL demos

I’m prepping a cohort graduating in May and tightening their 2–3 minute demo videos; for agency and hospital roles, what do hiring leads scan first? I’m coaching them to include a 30-second ethical rationale, a clear register shift, and one self-correction — does that move the needle more than raw speed or terminology density? This drives me nuts too! I’ve found that showcasing a clear connection to the agency’s mission, even if it’s just a couple of phrases in the demo, really helps grab attention. Maybe they could each include a specific example of how they’ve applied their skills in line with that mission?
