Which CEUs actually help in hybrid K-12

What CEU courses have genuinely improved student understanding when you’re bouncing between a 7:30 a.m — algebra II class and a 1:00 p.m. CTE welding lab, plus the occasional Zoom pull-out? My renewal’s due next month, and I’m hoping for trainings that strengthen visual scaffolding and technical STEM lexicon so I can adapt smoothly across rooms and platforms.

I got the most mileage from CATIE Center’s STEM interpreting module on spatial mapping — practicing persistent loci let me keep y=mx+b anchored in the 7:30 a.m. algebra II and reuse the same plane to label weld types and safety cues in the 1:00 p.m. CTE welding lab. Try pre-building a 2‑axis space and a fixed timeline in your warm-up, then carry it into the Zoom pull-out so students see the same anchors.

Building on @lsimons58, I’ve had the best results pairing ASLCore for STEM/CTE lexicon (https://aslcore.org) with a one-page visual glossary I keep pinned on my iPad/Zoom — same shapes and loci follow us from Algebra II to welding so the map doesn’t change mid-day. Caveat: ASLCore and ASL Clear won’t cover every weld term, so I grab 10 minutes pre-lab to co-create labels with the student/teacher and sketch them for quick reuse. Want the template I use to build that glossary?
